Pro Bono comes from the latin phrase "pro bono publico,"meaning "for the public good"
Our legal aid program is designed to increase access to legal advice and information about non-criminal legal matters to those who cannot afford it. There is no fee for our legal clinic nor for any legal advice or information provided by our participating lawyers. Lawyers provide information and basic legal advice without any expectation of long-term representation. There is no guarantee that an attorney can service your hardship request, although we are always striving to offer free legal services for civil rights, family law, housing, immigration law, and other important community-oriented legal matters. Our legal aid program will only match a client with a qualified pro bono legal aid attorney through our referral network partners.
